HBS was established in 2002, is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and has rapidly developed as a reputable organisation.

HBS offers a range of specialised services vital to the maintenance of Highways. These services are detailed below:




  • Design, installation and maintenance of temporary traffic management systems
  • Supply and installation of environmental barriers, including anti-glare screens and noise barriers
  • Design, supply, installation and maintenance of pedestrian restraint systems
  • Design, supply installation and maintenance of road vehicle restraint systems, including safety barriers (permanent and temporary) and vehicle parapets
  • Installation and maintenance of traffic calming measures

HBS also provide a design/consultation service, specialist installation plant and equipment testing, a large stock of approved systems and emergency response. We provide trained and accredited barrier and parapet installers, as well as trained and accredited Traffic Management Operatives.

HBS maintains a certified Quality Assurance System. We believe that with the use of this system we can assure that all work carried out complies with the relevant specifications and objectives and is of an excellent and consistent quality. HBS are the only company in Northern Ireland to achieve National Highway Sector Scheme 2B for safety fence as well as Sector Scheme 12A and 12B for Traffic Management.
