We also manufacture tooling and machinery for the water industry including pipe trailers and recycling units.
Shown below are some of our more recent contracts, which while falling outside our core business areas, have been completed following particular clients requests.
Kinnego Marina
Having originally completed the refurbishment of 1 existing jetty at Kinnego Marina ,Oxford Island for Craigavon Borough Council in 2001 we have also completed the following:
The dismantling of 2 new existing jetties and erection of 2 nr replacement 40 berth jetties with each jetty being constructed of specially treated timber for both piles and decking.
This work also involved the provision of a new water supply to each of the jetties and the installation of a new security fence to the perimeter of the jetty locations.
Veterinary Sciences Department
As part of a contract for the Central Procurement Directorate works in excess of £1M we carried out for the Department of Agriculture at their Veterinary Sciences Farm on Stoney Road, Dundonald.
These works consisted of the construction of new cattle sheds, general purpose sheds, slurry tanks, existing farm building refurbishments, fencing / drainage works, old farm building demolition, filling works and concreting works to the new farm yard.
Lagan Weir Boom Barrier Replacement
The River Lagan is tidal, so the purpose of the Weir is to impound the river upstream of Donegall Quay. A floating safety boom system is in place across three openings of the Lagan Weir to protect the river traffic from crossing over the gates when raised to impound the river.
The project was to replace the existing booms. A tug boat with a crane arm was used to lift off the existing boom across to land. Men were harnessed into position to attach the new boom, and install all the motors, which lift and lower the boom into position.
